Return to Kindness

Words cut the air like flashing blades of sharpened sraftteel
Cutting you lose to drift alone on your raft of despair.

Disconnected from kindness, the sea fills quickly with demons.
The crew from your past climb aboard.

No longer alone, the company is one to dread,
For their motive is destruction, their method self-loathing.

On the shore I watch helplessly.
The battle is not mine to win or lose.

You, alone with your mind, will choose to fight or not.
You will stand strong for love or surrender to fear.

Sharp words of truth cut you free from Denial.
Now only Resistance stands between you and Freedom.

I pray for your courage, your strength and your will.
For me, I seek clarity and a return to kindness.
